Beauty on a Budget
We all know being a college student means cutting expenses and sticking to a budget. Even when on a budget, we all still like to look and feel beautiful. Over my years in college, I have found some amazing products with even better price tags. Fact: you can still look bougie on a budget.
Hair
Hair is so important, but also hard to splurge on, and even harder to find quality products for.
I have recently discovered how shockingly awesome Suave shampoo and conditioners are. Suave is by far my favorite inexpensive hair care brand. My favorites specifically are Suave Professional's Rosemary + Mint Invigorating Shampoo & Conditioner. This scent is the best smell ever, and makes my hair feel great. The best part is you can get both the shampoo and conditioner for $3.96 total. Talk about a deal.
When it comes to dry shampoo, Dove's is the best bang for your buck. Totaling at just over $5, you can't beat it. Being a college student, dry shampoo is basically a necessity. Although it's vital to have, I can never get myself to spend over ten bucks on it. Dove giving us this affordable option is a game changer. They even beat out Batiste in price. Think about trying this one out when you need to stock up on dry shampoo.
Face
Skin care is so important. It can be scary to buy cheap makeup or facial products because you never know how it may affect your skin. Luckily, there are some holy grail products that won't break your bank or make you break out!
First, let's talk about a product I know you all have been seeing: Mario Badescu's Facial Spray With Aloe, Herb, and Rosewater. Is this product worth the hype? At only $7, absolutely. I use this every night on my bare face before I go to sleep and even sometimes as a primer. It feels so refreshing. And, did you hear me? Only $7! Treat yourself and get a bottle.
Okay, I'm excited to talk about these face masks. Tony Moly is the must have brand when it comes to sheet masks. Not only is Tony Moly the trendiest, cutest, and best, their masks also are the best deal. Each single pack includes 2 sheet masks. One pack is only $6, and the combo deal for 5 packs is only $15! Tony Moly has the best options from honey to charcoal to red wine to peach! The diverse choices are endless, and you'll fall in love with all of them. (And you won't go broke collecting them all!)
Lips
Pucker up and get excited. Lip products are some of my faves, and I have some great products lined up to share with y'all. And, of course, they're totally inexpensive!
Alright, so I'm sort of cheating with this one. Glossier's balm dotcom's are for so much more than just your lips. They are universal balms for basically any area you think needs some love, but I am all about them right now when it comes to my lips. It's the best balm ever, from one of my favorite brands, comes in crazy good flavors, and is only $12. I've had mine since June, using it almost every day throughout, and it still is living strong. I would recommend this killer product to anyone, for their lips, and anywhere else!
Another lip product I love are Lush's lip scrubs. They come in tons of tasty flavors, and are the perfect exfoliators when your lips need some tough love. I have the limited edition chocolate flavor, but they have some great other options in stock right now from honey to bubblegum. I've also heard some people rave about their popcorn flavor! Definitely head over to Lush, treat yourself to an always-needed bath bomb, and pick up a lip scrub while you're at it. Did I mention they're only $10.95?
In conclusion, there are tons of amazing beauty products you can treat yourself to on a budget. From necessities like shampoo to fun face masks, you can always have a affordable beauty routine to enjoy. I hope you discovered some new products you're eager to try.
